Sands

The sand is sedimentary material composed of small particles coming from erosion and sedimentarisation from other rocks. The dimension of a grain of sand is in general between 0,065 and 2 mm. When the grain is larger it is called gravel and when it is thinner it is called silt.

The sand can have different origins: mineral one, organic one or human one. Among the most frequent component of sand we can mention quartz, mica and feldspar.

Every single sand grain recalls its story: geological history if different regions, winds and water selection. These give us by the end some heteroclites sands, other homogeneous with incredible rich colours and particular textures.

At Sablissime’s, we mainly work with two types of sands: quartz industrially treated (large variety of colours) and natural sands from Morocco. Since we work with the same granulometry, we can mix sands of unlike colours to obtain new ones. Our customers can also provide us sand for their regions or holidays that we can treat and work for them. Click on one of the windows to discover our colours. Our Sands
